What are some good single player PC games?

I searched this but most of them are really old questions so thought I'd ask a fresh one for fresh answers. Plus people just keep mentioning shooter games and I DO NOT want a shooter game.

I like games like Sims, Age of Empires, Need For Speed. RPG games look interesting too. They have to be PC though.
I'll even consider MMORPGs that are still fun to play if you're a solo-er.
