What is alive with out ever taking a breath? Alive, but feels as cold as death? It's never thirsty but always drinking. It's dressed all in mail, yet never clinks. What is it?

It's a fish. I took the riddle from The Hobbit. Hope you like it!
 
What is greater then God, more evil then the devil, the poor have it the rich need it and if you eat it you'll die?

answer: Nothing
(nothing is greater then God, nothing is more evil then the devil, the poor have nothing, the rich need nothing and if you eat nothing you'll die.)
