comprimising mpg)? I recently purchased a 1998 Ford Ranger 4x4, with off road package and towing package. I was interested in putting some larger tires, no more than 33 in. on it. I don't want some ridiculous lift and I would like to loose as little mpg as possible. Could a 2 in lift work. Also what would be the best way to go suspension lift, body lift or leveling kit?
With these larger tires would it also be necessary to change the gear ratio?
I have heard that changing the differential can help a lot off road, how does that effect regular driving in concern to mpg? What are some of the best options?
Final question K&N cold air filter kinda sound like a scam but I have a friend who swears they work, any input?
Thanks
