What are some good format ideas for a book title?

What I mean is, what are some good ideas? Like, should it be just one word, like as in the Eragon books, a "phrase", like with Harry Potter, or a combination of the two? (One word, then a phrase).
I'm one third through my book, and I just want to know what a good title should be. I should have come up with a title before hand, but hey, so what?
 
Could you tell us what you're book is about? It depends, if it's personal and non-fiction, make it resonate with you somehow. Maybe a phrase most people wouldn't understand, but you explain later in the book. Kind of like a poem- in a poem, sometimes it's not good to give away your subject matter in the title, but the reveal it or hint at it at the end. Hope that helps! :)
 
When I look at a book title, something has to peak my interest. With the Potter books, the phrase automatically tells you the book involves something very, very interesting in his life as a wizard. We know it is a Harry Potter book, but the rest of the phrase speaks excitement. I am assuming this is not an autobiographical book, but fiction. Give the book a title a name that will make the reader want to open it and jump in, creating the need for more info and hold their interest. I would suggest a phrase. I am not an expert by any means, but an avid reader. Good luck.
 
I'm currently reading a book that is called 'The Forest of Hands and Teeth'. I think the title is an elegant description of the book and the setting it takes place in. So maybe you should look at the setting of where this book, yours, takes place in. Maybe rivers or even forests that surrounds the setting just like the book I'm reading.
Most authors do not name their book beforehand because usually editors and publishers do away with the title and replace it with a new one. With the title that you pick, it will be a working title.
