What are some good fish to have?

Ok. So I got a 55 gallon tank and have fourgoldfish and two balla sharks in it( all six are going to different tanks when they get bigger) I also have 5 guppies(they will stay) I want to get a lot of different types of tetras. what could live with all the fish I already have(mainly what can live with guppies because the others will move eventually)I know i want neons at least and high fin black tetras. What else and how many?

Get a few Buenos Aires tetras and some gouramis (my favorites are the Pearl and the kissing). Zebra danios are nice also
For a tank that big you should also get some algae eaters.
 
My answer is to take reader off the top of food chain and submerge
amid water with mask and snorkle. 55 gallon tanks are so wrong
if compared to the real thing. Management of environment should
take in big picture rather than a thin slice. If reader has no intention
returning to the menu selections I'd suggest purchase of one neon
and two high fin black tetras to see some action amid the your tank;
it can't hurt. Watch some algae eaters at-work.
 
The goldfish shouldn't be kept with any of the others because they are coolwater. They will most likely die.
