what are some good fiction books about WW2?

This period of history interests me a lot due to my family background. I have read quite a few:

'once' and 'then' by morris gleitzman
'emil and karl' by Yankev Glatshteyn, Jeffrey Shandler
'the boy in the striped pyjamas' by John Boyne
'hitlers daughter' by jackie french

and possibly a few more but i would really appreciate your reccomendations. i don't really mind if they are aimed at children or adults.

fiction hmm why dont you read nonfiction books like flags of our fathers that was a masterpiece of a book
