What are some good books for somebody in jail?
my friend is in jail for accidentally killing somebody he will be in there for a while and i was thinking of THE STRANGER by ALBERT CAMUS

"Sing Me Back Home" the autobiography of Merle Haggard. Merle wrote that song, "Okie From Muskogee" and Ronald Reagan pardoned him from San Quentin. He was doing at least a 20 year stretch when that happened. It's a good read even if you don't like country music. Actually, think about what your friend would enjoy and send him that. Some people can't understand Camus. I sent my older brother several copies of Scientific American magazine when he was doing time. Heady stuff that makes you forget where you are.
