I dont' read a lot. I want to get into reading and I have read books liek Harry Potter. I need some suggestions on some really good books. It doens't matter what genre or type it is, it just has to be good story, and well writtten.

the notebook and the twilight series r awesome!! the genre is romance and drama. twilight is sci fic and the notebook realistic fic.
i love lord of the flies too but idk if u'll like it cus many ppl dont cus they have to read it for school. its about these group of kids stranded on a desserted island and they turn into savages.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians series r really fun to read as well, it has mythology but its mixed with modern society which makes it really interesting and i love the way its written.

The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials Series #1)
by Philip Pullman

The action follows 11-year-old protagonist Lyra Belacqua, accompanied by her daemon, from her home at Oxford University to the frozen wastes of the North, on a quest to save kidnapped children from the evil 'Gobblers,' who are using them as part of a sinister experiment. Lyra also must rescue her father from the Panserbjorne, a race of talking, armored, mercenary polar bears holding him captive. Joining Lyra are a vagabond troop of gyptians (gypsies), witches, an outcast bear, and a Texan in a hot air balloon.

Eragon (Inheritance Cycle #1)
by Christopher Paolini

When Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy; perhaps it will buy his family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and he is thrust into a perilous new world of destiny, magic, and power. With only an ancient sword and the advice of an old storyteller for guidance, Eragon and the fledgling dragon must navigate the dangerous terrain and dark enemies of an Empire ruled by a king whose evil knows no bounds. Can Eragon take up the mantle of the legendary Dragon Riders? The fate of the Empire may rest in his hands...
