Like, I plan on getting a tattoo soon, a blue butterfly with little swirls and sparkles on my hip. No, it's not just to have one. I actually have reasons.
1) I've always been told I am like a butterfly, social, graceful (dancer) and all that. They are very beautiful and I have been fascinated by butterflies since as far as I can remember.
2) My mom & I share that interest, she hasn't been in my life, physically, since I was about 8, but she always emails and calls, when she has the money. But, whenever I see a butterfly, I think about the connections between us. Mother & Daughter Love.
3) It represents my Christianity. I will be moving out of my grandparents house, and I feel they have been holding me back from a lot. Especially my relationship with God. They were against me reading the bible, so I didn't get one til I got my own car and bought it myself. Also, when I bought myself a purity ring, they were veryyy suspicious of my activities, hello... Purity ring means I'm still pure... They made is awkward to pray and talk to God, they would always walk into my room and ruin it... Anyways, I feel like I have 'blossomed into a butterfly' now that I am moving out, new life, new house, new connection with God, everything. Saying that I want to put a bible verse under the tattoo, about being given a new life, and all that.
