...university? I love are history and I was just wondering what some good reads were
 
Look at what you ill be studying in uni and then buy some of the books beforehand and learn them! You'll look super smart!
Also maybe look at periods of history that are near to what you are studying as a sort of background knowledge
otherwise, just look at what you like or the history of your country or one you are interested in
I can't recommend any books though, sorry
there are wayyyy too many!
