What are some exercises that can help me improve on my running?

I am a seventh grader running track this season.
IT ACTUALLY STARTS THIS MONDAY THE 8TH, so I need answers A.S.A.P.
I need some good exercises to prepare myself for the running.
I have been doing leg lifts, and crunches (that I know don't help, but I do them anyways)
