What are some exercises I could do to lose some extra pounds?

I'm not much of a runner (I can run up to 4 minutes without stopping or getting a weird asthma-attack like thing where my lungs feel like they're being pounded with a mallet) so are there any other things I could do to lose weight?

Also, I've tried walking, then slowly jogging on my treadmill for a while, and I noticed my legs burn a SHITLOAD more than when I jog outside because it's got a slight incline that I don't know how to put back down. Does that affect weight loss or muscle gain?
