'anyone else but you' in Juno)? Something sweet with simple and quirky lyrics, but not cliche or corny. I am looking for artists like kimya dawson... maybe an anti-folk love song?
I sung the juno song at my brothers wedding as my bridesmaid speech (kinda from my brother to his wife) and it went down really well. It wasnt serious and emotional, just cute and fun. (Hence the no marie carey suggestions please). I want to do it with my musically talented bridesmaids at my wedding as a little item.

i think you answers your own question hun!
That song is so simple and cute and quirky and awsum!
Congrats on the wedding and good luck with song choice.

P.s if you are getting a band for the wedding you should choose and song and get them to work on it with you thats what i did when i sung at my auntys wedding, that way if you arent that much of a singer they can also help you fine tune! xx

I like to sing myself, but I don't think your wedding is a good place to bust out the mike. What if you get really nervous all of a sudden? I think you should keep your serenades confined to karaoke night. If you want to sing your groom-to-be a cute little song like the Juno song, maybe you could hold your rehearsal dinner at a fun karaoke bar to loosen everyone up for the big event the next day.

Here are some song suggestions you might like:

"The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson
"Bruises" by Chairlift
"Us" by Regina Spektor
