Where I currently live, it's fairly uncommon for someone to ride their bike to school, work, the store, or just about anywhere, and in a way, it's looked down on, and because of the huge number of cars, it can be dangerous.
Everytime I go to the beach though, I notice that the number of people on bikes skyrockets, and it's such a nice site! I'm thinking of moving sometime in the near future, and if I don't need a car to get around, I might even be able to afford an apartment near the beach. For any residents in southern California, do you know of any other places besides the beach where bicycles are a common site?
