What are some cheap and easy mods I can do to make my car look better?

I plan to get a 2007 Flint Mica Scion TC for my first car. I want to make the car look better but can't spend too much money, I just want something to do on the weekends. I want to paint my panel/rocker cover under the hood but that's the only mod I can think of that is cheap and fairly simple.
