What are some chat rooms like aim?

I want to get on a chat room where you have a contact list and only chat with the people in your contact list. I don't want to chat with random people! I really don't. I want to feel safe when chatting!!! You understand me. Great. Now give me some answers!!! Please and Thank You!!!
 
Use any instant messenger like ICQ, MSN, Google Talk, Jabber... AIM is just one of them.
