I'm the team captain of a local leg of a national team for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night walk. My team is pretty big - we've raised over a quarter of a million dollars in the past few years and had over 580 walkers last year alone. My personal goal is to raise $1000 this year (and I've already reached almost half that goal), but I need some ideas!
Essentially, I want to ask some local businesses for donations but I'm not sure who to ask. I've heard private businesses are better to ask than big corporations, but I don't want to rule ANYTHING out. My questions for you are:
1) Do you know any LOCAL businesses (Framingham, MA, Marlborough, MA, Lowell, MA, or Nashua, NH areas are best!) that give charitable donations? Please share!
2) What about larger companies and organizations? Let me know your experiences!
