what are people looking for in books?

Hey guys. Just need a little inspiration.
What is your favourite genre of books?
Why?
And what does it need to pump it up a little?
 
I like books that are a mix of mystery and adventure. It shouldn't go too long without giving a clue, and it should have a good moral that isn't cheesy. I love these books because they keep you on your toes, are exciting, and are really enjoyable. If it helps, I'm 14 yrs. Happy writing!
 
mines is romantic horror

idk why but ever since i read twilight (i HATE that book now), i've always liked the genre. i can write anything basically, but i only really LOVE to read romantic horror.

i guess it just needs supense/mystery/thriller. and also, don't forget to add twists to make it interesting :D
