what are my rights to switch lawyers?

i have a case pending its been a year and i feel the lawyer i have is not doing there job and i would like to change to a different law firm. can i do so?

You would have to dismiss (fire) your current lawyer and pay him for work already done, then find another one to take your case. Simple.
