my husband and his friend took their snakes to a local breeder who is no longer accepting our calls or returning our messages. My husband and his friend were introduced to Mike (the breeder) by a mutual friend. Mike has had the snakes since November of last year and kept in contact with us until the beginning of March when he last told us that the two females (my husbands friends snakes) were pregnant and he had a buyer for our male which we wanted to sell due to our baby and no longer being able to give it attention. My husband and his friend went to his home but he was not their. They again went up on mothers day with a police officer and Mike told them The snakes were at his friends and he would call this weekend he was sorry he kept having phone problems... whatever.. Since then he has talked to my husband twice and again is not returning or answering our calls. We have all our receipts and proof of ownership of the snake. What are our rights? ALSO... My hubby's friend leaves for Afghanistan Monday. Is their a way to transfer guardianship of his females so we can get his snakes as well as our own?
