I live in the State of Montana. Flathead county to be exact. I pay rent on time every month. I have been storing a broken freezer, broken wood stove, and scrap wood in my apartment for my landlord for 1 year. I have asked her several times to remove it. I have gotten broken promises to remove them. I live in her daylight basement so my landlord lives right above me. The hot water tank does not work properly leaving me with cold showers a lot. Emphasis on a lot. I have asked her several times to fix this issues, also empty promises. What right do I have as a tenant to make her fix these issues?? I hear I can withhold rent until she fixes the issues...........I do not want to stir up any trouble with her but seriously I need hot water. To sum up how bad the hot water issue is, if I do a sink of dishes in the evening, or one of my kids takes a shower there is no hot water again until morning. Also, my flooring consists of painted cement. Her reasoning for this, allergies.
