A few weeks ago I was cycling into university and I crashed my bicycle into the back of a BMW which had stopped at a crossing. I flew over my handlebars and went through the back window. I would blame my bicycle's brakes for the crash as they were pretty inefficient at the time and did not stop me quick enough. I went to hospital where I received some stitches and got my chin glued etc.
I paid the driver £70 for a new back window but now she's calling me all the time, demanding an additional £350 for damage, to the bumper/rear panel, which I'm really not sure I caused. However, I'm a student with only £37 to my name and I can not pay anymore.
Should I have to? What are my rights? How can she prove it was even me?
I forgot to mention that I'm uninsured.
