i think i posted this in the wrong forum, but just corrected it!
my post:
UK gives, on average, 20 singletary scholarships a year. Obviously, you're competing against the others in your class, so its a relative from year to year... and i know its a guess, but i'd to know other people's opinions on my resume
But for an average year, i want to know my odds of becoming a singletary scholar at UK...
I have a 32 ACT
3.99 GPA in my schools advanced program
currently ranked 3rd out of 400 in my class
I play 2 sports(swimming and rowing)
mutilple clubs at school(over 5)
i have a summer job
i'm a 2009 KY GSP scholar
I took an usually large leadership position for my age in the Students for Barack Obama 2008 campaign(i was regional director of high school students for barack obama (From TN, to VA, to FL)
Thanks!!!
btw, this is the BASE requirements to even be considered:
To be eligible, students must score 31 or higher on the American College Test (ACT) or 1360 combined math and critical reading scores on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), and have a minimum high school grade point average of 3.75. The selection committee also considers extracurricular activities, work and volunteer responsibilities, leadership involvement, a written essay, and a personal interview.
