My GPA, is bad its around 2.4 right now. I'm currently off on summer vacation and i'm going to be a junior this coming school year.
I signed up for my junior year for AP Chemistry, AP English III, and AP U.S. History, its my first time i'm going to take AP classes,
and for my senior year i'm planning on taking AP classes too, if i do good for now on do you think i'll be able to raise my GPA to a like 3.8?
The past two years ive only taken normal level classes and slacked off and now i regret it. I would like to go to either University of Houston
or University of Texas at Austin, but do you think i'll make it? So please help me by answering my questions and giving me advice.
Here are my results on the SAT I took my sophomore year(but I tooked it for practice but i'll take it again my junior and senior year).
On Critical Reading I got 45 and says I scored higher than 58% of sophomores. On Mathematic I scored 38 and says I scored higher than 27% of sophomores.
On Writing Skills I scored 39 and says I scored higher than 44% of sophomores.
I didnt really took the SAT that seriously and also the timing on the test was kinda hard for me but know i know and i'll do better next time.

You will have to work HARD, but you can do it and make to the University of Houston and Texas.
Don't slack off these next two years.
Participate in school clubs and sports.
Also, do volunteer work.
Good Luck!

I would say your chances are slim to none. I'd be surprised if you got accepted to your local community college.

I don't think you'll be able to raise your GPA to a 3.8 in that short amount of time even if you got all As. The most important GPA in terms of getting into college is the one at the very end of your junior year. Your rank is important too.

I went to UT. I must admit most students at UT were in the top 10% of their class. To be honest I'm not sure you would make it into UT. Its surprisingly very very competitive. I would as "back up" look into Sam Houston, UNT, or one of the other UT schools like UTSA or UT Arlington or even maybe Tech. But if you REALLy wanna go to UT I would suggest going to ACC for two years and transfering.

Good luck.
