I am a female , 52 years old. I got the flu in the beginning of Deceraber with acute sore throat and fever. I had problems of breathing (not asthma) because of feeling of narrowness in my throat and lost my voice for about 5 days. Ever since this flu, I am having similar symptoms eventhough a bit less acute. I clear my voice a lot, have a feeling of sticky mucus in my throat, a feeling of lump and bouts of hoarse voice.
The ENT I went to looked in my throat and saw some swelling behind the vocal corRAB and some redness. He said I have LPR.
I have never been aware of acid reflux before and do not now either. Before the flu, I did not pay attention at what I ate (however I eat a healthy diet and do not smoke or drink anwyway) nor when I would bend of lay down after eating and never had a problem. I know that it is called the
