I agree with Kelly F and nnnicole. The Mortal Instruments is a highly addictive series. I got kind of depressed after i read the last book

Salem's Lot (My personal favorite. It scared me to death!)
Jodi Picoult (a bit older audience, maybe):

My Sister's Keeper
