Sorry, I'm on my phone and its being difficult. I saw a pilot episode of an anime years ago. I can't remember if it was on adult swim or toonami. The pilot episode was about a group of people who were about to air a cartoon for the first time. I remember cute merchandise on the show and someone had a video tape of the cartoon in their possession. At the end of the episode the person with the video tape dies and the tape is lying in the middle of the street. Again my memory of this anime is vague and if someone can actually tell me what the title of this show is based on my description then you are awesome.
