What anime do you wish would get remade to be more like the manga?

The idea for this thread was given to me in the "Is FMA Brotherhood Worth It?" thread.

Basically, is there any anime that you wish would have either more material from the manga (a sequel, I guess) or just an entire redux?

For me, this is definitely Kare Kano. It's not so much that the production team strayed from the manga, and more that they just threw their hands in the air and said, "**** it." I mean, the last episode didn't even have any animation. It was just stills. What the hell?

I feel that this series just deserves a redo, especially since most of the new shoujo is all variations on themes that were better addressed in Kare Kano. All it does is remind me of the abused adaptation of this great series.
 
I made an Eyeshield 21 thread and everyone keeps saying the manga was better so I think the anime Eyeshield 21 should be remade more like the manga.
 
It was copied from the manga until about episode 11, and then they gave it a different ending. The manga was way longer and better in my opinion. In Fruits Basket, they just stopped animating it after about volume 8 of the manga. The manga was much better.
Another one I thought of, they should animate the rest of School Rumble.
 
Berserk. The anime barely scratched the surface, and didn't even tell a complete story. It served its purpose in getting more people to read the manga, but now it can have a true anime adaptation. The only problem is the author, Kentaro Miura, and his lazy work ethic. The manga should have been done long ago. It started in 86 or 88 I believe, and still is only about 2/3-3/4 finished, maybe more (estimate). I worry a remade anime would create another split in the anime, where it has to take a path in the plot different than the manga, because the anime has caught up, and has nothing left to do but make sh*t up to continue to story. If Berserk is ever remade, then it needs to be done after the manga is finished.
 
I agree with this. Berserk needs to have another series. I was actually looking online to see if there were any plans and I found this:

Not sure how true it is or how real those screens are but if they really are making another season, hopefully they wait a few years to bring it out.
 
I would like Rurouni Kenshin redone as well. At least the third arc. That was just god-awful. It's fresh in my mind too, since I rewatched it all earlier this year.



There were plans for a second season, but they were canceled. One of the people on that site actually mention it.



I'd prefer them start all over with the anime somewhere down the line, like when the manga is finished, rather than pick it back up and either continue leaving things out, or retcon a bunch of things in.
 
Elfen Lied manga is far better than the anime, and the anime was amazing, so I really hope they remake Elfen Lied. But I won't complain if they don't, I'm thankful for Hellsing Ultimate.
 
Soul Eater needs to be remade. The manga is way better. Same for Pokemon, if PKMN was remade to the manga, the anime would have almost as many watchers as game-players.
