what animals don`t depend on the sun?

way down in the deepest parts of the ocean they are many types of creatures like crabs and shrimp, that solely depend on the heat venting from the ocean floor. they live on the bacterial growth.
 
Simple, none. I mean, like, all animals depend on some sort of sunlight. Haven't you learned this? The food chain for example; the shark eats the little fishy, but the fishy ate the seaweed. Understand? Ask a science teacher if you don't. That's all I got. (:
 
animals at the deepest depths of the ocean do not need any sun light. they get heat and sustenance from thermal vents or the the creatures that feed from the vents.
 
All animals depend on the sun despite what some people might say. Some people might say that the creatures that live around deep sea hydrothermal vents don't rely on the sun. This is a common mistake to make. Energy from the sun is a two part equation, the food and the oxygen. These creatures rely on oxygen. And the only source of oxygen is from plants that photosynthesised it.

I don't know but things from the dinosaur age can survive without the sun because when the Meteor hit it would have blocked the sun out for a few years =]

its all in the food chain. everything depends on the sun for food or energy. a zebra needs to eat plants, witch means the plants need energy from the sun.
 
well the animals that dont depend on the sun are nocturnal animals because they come out at night things like bats and moles are common ones as bats use radar to communicate with other animals and to find their pray.
 
All those little buggers who live by thermal undersea vents don't depend on sunlight.

Wish I could tell you what they are called.
 
none of them
all animals are heterotrophic
they gain energy from sources but dont sythesis it themselves
they either eat other animals who in term got it from plants which got it from the sun or just ate the plants which got it from the sun
