what amperage battery would i need for a car coil?

hi
what a/h (amp hour) battery would i need to work a car coil as im looking to replace a lawnmower magneato with one.
i know the circuit but i want to make sure i buy a powerful enough battery
there wont be a alternator charging it but i only need it to work for about an hour at a time
 
what will trigger your ignition?the mag triggers off thew flywheel.so even if you modify and use a coil,youll have to have either points,or a hall type pickup.you could by breakerless for breaker distributor and then adapt it i suppose.they replace the adv plate in the distributor and cam lug.mower shop might have a used mag for you, but id trace the black wire coming out of it, and even unplug the wire from the mag to double check failure. sometimes the wire will chafe and ground out, killing the ignition system.
