what all do you need to own a car?

me (17) and my boyfriend (18) just got a car from a friend. it was free so we took it, but what all do we need like i know the title and registration but what else? also i want the car to be 100% in my name, can we do that even though im 17? also how much do you think all of it would cost? o and its a 1991 toyota camry, i know its ugly but it was free and we needed one lol
