My daughter is 3 (almost 4) and keeps asking when I'm eating peanuts if she can have some. I finally let her eat popcorn and she does just fine with it. Tried gum, she swallowed it even after I tried explaining that she can only chew it. Glad it was a tiny piece I gave.
