For example the zulu tribe, like you say no records, the reason they didn´t have written accounts of their history. Thats why when conquered by the whites every detail was forgotten or repressed

wat is it the world never says anything about ancient civilizations in sub-saharan africa? they always talk about other civilizations in africa (the northen arab part) but they never address civilizations from "black" africa, they did have many civilizations and they did many things but it seems like the world never comes to that why?

e.g the shona ppl of southern africa (now found in Zimbabwe) r believed to be the 1st ppl to smelt iron....

In that vein, why is Egypt so popular but Nubia isn't?
Ethiopia's history is vast, impressive and fascinating, but most people couldn't tell you that.
The history of China is mostly glossed over too.
The only reason Meso-America gets any play at all is because they were wiped out by the Spanish.
What about aboriginal Australians? They made a pretty long voyage on rafts.
There are plenty of civilizations that get little wide recognition. The reason being, they weren't flashy or exotic enough to the people who made modern historical study. Also, a lot of those regions were inaccessible for study for a long time or stigmatized because of race.

the Bantu was an ancient civilization in Sub-Saharan Africa, and they were in my world history textbook

I think you will find in the new, curious world that these subjects will begin to be touched upon.

In the past any history taught, about black cultures, seemed to focus only on the slavery aspect and the way it was involved in ''white' history.

However, now society is becoming better educated and hungry for knowledge, then the truth about ancient cultures will become more accessible.

Till now the powers that be have been nervous about this kind of information as they still like the public to believe the same old propaganda, that before it "rescued" the slaves from poverty, that they were somehow lesser people.

Thank God the general public is beginning to see through these old lies.
