Wes Cravens New Nightmare

Hi,

I watched this film for the first time today and thought it was brilliant but there is just one question.....

I understood the film up to the part with the note in the script book saying "Thanks for playing Nancy again".

So does that mean Freddy was REALLY alive and has found a way OUT of the movies or did Wes Craven plan it all as a dream.....

Im a bit confused? HELP!
 
Can't remember it 100% but I think, he was really alive or some kind of evil incarnate and found a way to get into the real world because he was abit miffed about getting killed off in the previous movies. :)
 
Watched this two days ago and am not overly sure but i think this is about right. As Wes said the only way to stop him is to recapture him into a movie...who knows

Watched all seven over the weekend as my partner got the box set bargain at
 
From what i gathered Freddy was some form of ancient dream demon. He had become trapped in the earlier storys (the only way to trap a dream deomon is by placeing them in a story aparantly)

When the story grew thinner it freed the "real" freddy to terrorise the actors of the first movie

I think i got that all right???

It's a pity that the poor sequels that went before it mean less people will give it a chance. Out of the seven only 1,3 and 7 are any good.

Actually, does New Nightmare count as a sequel? I'm never sure...
 
was a good film but before that one my fav freddy films have to be

Dream Warriors
Freddys dead ( love this one)
