Are humans capable of creating civilization inevitably or was it just by luck or some discovery? I mean, if by any chance there was a horrible tragedy and present-day civilization was decimated, our way of life went back to that of the stone age, do you think the chances of reaching the civilization stage again is most likely or just by chance? Are we humans of doing so?

absolute chance. The fact that mammals are so dominant is a matter of chance (the Jurassic die-off). So our very existence is a one in a billion or trillion. If at any stage, a different individual or troop of primates had been wiped out, humans may never have evolved.
