Hi,
my boyfriend and I are getting married in a few days and we're currently applying for a lease on a local apartment. I have had a credit card for less than a year (I've always paid it off monthly), and he has never had one. Both of us intend to be on the lease and we can afford the place- (he makes about 1400/month, I make about 800/month, and rent is $700) but we are concerned because we have no large savings account and no real credit history. Should this be a problem? We have family members that are willing to cosign for us, but I'm worried. Is there anything we should do or know? We have to start somewhere, but so many things in our society are catch 22s... just like work experience. Any information or guidance would be wonderful, thank you!
