Went to the ER the other night and found out that I have a vaginal infection?

The other night I got up at around 1 in the morning and i was in so much pain, my hole tummy was hurting so bad almost as bad as when I was having my three kids. So they checked me when I went to the doctor and they said that I had a Vaginal Infection, So they gave me Metronidazole. I looked it up and it say that it is for some kind of STD. I am a married women and I have never done anything with anyone elts. also about three months ago my hubby got a infection in his balls that put him threw alot of pain. and it also stopped my monthly for 3 months
