went to 5 stores this morning, zero wiis and accessories to be found

went to 2 targets, 2 walmarts and a toyrus - no wiis, no accessories (other than some kind of stand and a memory card)
if i wanted games, i had my pick of the litter, they had plenty of them
every store had gamecubes in place of wiis

waited 5 mins outside target, i was 1 of 2 people looking for a wii. a bunch of old women were there too, just to shop.

went to walmart, they had none
went to another target, none
waited outside of toysrus for a couple of minutes. the 4 grown men in front of me were there exclusively for matchbox cars - are you fuckin' serious? they ran in when the doors opened. no wiis, no accessories
went to another walmart, nothing

3 of the stores had ps3s that were frozen. i asked all the stores if they had gotten any wiis since sunday and they all said no, but to try on friday

ok, either someone is lying or nintendo really isn't shipping out as many as i thought they would have
 
...or Nintendo had a fucking kickass launch and nearly sold out.

Go somewhere where you think there wouldnt be any.

and next time, preorder.
 
they were discussing ebay listing techniques. i guess none of them have real jobs if they were there at 9am on a wednesday or they are taking a 5 day weekend
 
called 4 sears in my area, no wiis no accessories
sears didn't even have the code in the register, according to one lady
seems odd that nintendo was boasting about sending out so many units, but nothing can be found at 9 stores in my area
 
set of controllers with each Wii, and then people who couldn't find Wii's are snagging accessories while they're available so they have them when they get the Wii.
 
I was only able to get 1 extra wii-mote/nunchuck combo on Sunday. I happened to head into WalMart yesterday and they just got a new batch of accessories... so I bought some more wii-motes and nunchucks. Now for some 4-player action this long weekend!
 
I just went in to Circuit City and picked up a Classic Controller. I didnt think they had any cause it said they were out of stock online.
