WENT 1000 OVER MY TEXTING VERIZON PLAN??! HELP!?

I have a 500 Verizon Texting plan that my parent's pay, but I went over 1,000 with all the Twitter and Facebook messages so I can update and stay 'connected', if my parents upgrade their Verizon plan before the next billing cycle, will I be okay, and if they don't, how much would be the penalty?
