Well person check or test. What will happen?

I keep getting recurrent thrush and have had it for about two years now.

I have gone through about three/four pessaries, two oral tablets and countless tubes of cream.
I wash regular and I am using PH balancing wash, the nurse told me to go for a well person check.
I Googled it and saw a lot of words in reference to cancer?!?
Can anyone tell me what it will entail?
