Well, I've had a Catharsis (sp?) & GREAT DAY . . .

Thanks to Ryber and Technical1, old "tealboy" has had a religious experience. Here's what happened, and this is WORTH NOTING:

TealMaster runs TealLaunch, can't live without it. Fine.

Downloaded NoBeamDialog and NoDot from the YAHM (Yet Another Hack Manager) Site and installed them. Checked 'em in TealMaster. I don't want dots and I don't want the beam dialog. All will be well, I thought.

No workie. Unchecked "protect from delete" in T/Mstr and deleted 'em.

Downloaded YAHM itself, and checked TealLaunch. TealLaunch listed, but WON'T WORK UNDER YAHM. Got a dialog box saying "Hey, there's no code in here." Rats.

Reinstalled NoBeam/NoDot, checked under YAHM but not TealMaster. Only TealLaunch running in TealMaster. TealLaunch NOT CHECKED under YAHM, but other 2 are. NOW THEY WORK. So YAHM can run hacks TEALMASTER can't or won't due to requiring "true OS5 ARM architecture," but YAHM WILL NOT run "TealLaunch" since it's an OS4 hack with emulation!

So I'm running 2 hackManagers, but no crashes and no dots and no dialog box . . . and I've still got TealLaunch.

I must email Tealpoint about this today . . . They'll have to re-write TealLaunch as a full fledged app and then I can dump TealMaster, which I have truly thought was "X-master on steroids" for 3 years!! I'll admit when I'm wrong or someone teaches me something . . . . and here it is: YAHM rocks . . . Ryber and Technical1 are fans of it and I'm sure others of you are too . . . I'm so stubbornly loyal to Tealpoint but I think this is TRULY a hack manager, since it's running ARM-architecture hacks like they were nothin' -- written in ARM, and without emulation. In fact, those with this true "emulation" won't run under TealMaster because that's for OS4 stuff "with an OS5 emulation tweak," I suppose.

A TRULY EXCELLENT AFTERNOON. I'll advise if I get "weird crashes," but it looks stable to me. Now I want to figure out the "ins and outs" of it in terms of hierarchy. (Can't figure out how to set "NoDot" above "NoBeam" in a table from, say, "1 - 5").

Many thanks to Ryber and Technical1 for their personal praise of this FREEWARE 55k footprint product and their persistence!
