Well, that's it, the wedding date for Prince Wills' and Kate's wedding has been set for the 29th April, 2011 - a Friday!

Now, all I ever wanted out of this palarva is a day off work so I can catch up on some Come Dine With Me, and now I get a long weekend out of it, not to mention many people will be taking weekend breaks to London to watch the proceedings, so people can splash their cash and help fill our empty coffers!
Not to mention that there's only 6 months of this frenzy, and not 9 months as originally anticipated!
Is anyone else (republican or royalist) thinking "result!"?
EC - Look at it this way, weddings do not normally take place at 7pm, hopefully Emmerdale won't be affected for you
)
I am just taking it as an opportunity to have a Venture Brothers/Robot Chicken Marathon ;o)
"Waste of our time n money" - Erm Richard Long, as you clearly denote you are an American, how comes YOUR time and money is wasted? Your tax dollars aren't paying for it, and you don't have to waste your time to watch the proceedings on TV, I certainly am not
)
You must also think that because the American midterms, and national elections have dominated the UK news channels, the Brits are obsessed with US politics, judging by your flawed logic.
Besides, I don't think most Brits are obsessed with the wedding as such, more about the much needed long weekend, and the possibility of a 3 day working week! woo hoo!
