Weird tumors... What could cause spouses to have identical spinal tumors?

My parents both have rare tumors on their cervical vertebrae. The doc says this kind of tumor is very rare, much less on spouses. What could cause this? They both also have paralyzed stomachs and many other health problems like arthritis. Both in their 50's, and both live in FL.

They were told this by their doctor... official diagnosis... nobody is making anything up here, nurse.
I am trying to just list a bunch of things that they have, and see if anyone sees a connection, because their doctors don't. they can't figure out if they were poisioned by some sort of mold, or if it's viral, or something.... i'm just trying to help my parents like any daughter would.
 
It sounds like a total coincedence to me, unless they have some sort of rare virus or something like that. To really know why, they need to ask their doctor.
Paralyzed stomachs? That's a new one. I would assume that are on tube feedings if thats the case. IF a person actually had a "paralzyed stomach", they would not be able to eat normally.
