I'd appericate any comment or suggestions.
I have a 93 Paseo that has a strange idle problem. Just got the car, and don't have any history on it. The car is sitting in Park idling, the rpm is about 600 to 700 rpm. When is shifted into D, it will idle at approx 400 to 500 and shakes alot like it's almost gonna stall.
Seems to me that even in the Park position, it is already idling too low, in the D position it is on the edge of stalling. The weird part is as soon as I turn on the AC, the idle will jump up to about 1000 in either P or D position.
I guess one could just leave it and just always drive it with AC on. However, I kinda like to figure out the problem if possible. As far as I can tell, there is nothing to adjust as far as the idle speed. Googling suggest that the idle is coimpletely electronically contolled. What other step can I do to look into the cause of this problem?
