Weird thing sometimes happens when I try to sleep

So I don't know if you have an answer but well here it goes. So ever since I was little sometimes when I was trying to go to sleep something a little weird happens. All of the sudden things seem to amplify to an extreme. For example sounds. Everything sounds like its yelling in my ear without the pain. Another thing is how fast things seem to go.
