Weird taste after wisdom teeth extraction... help?

I had 4 wisdom teeth removed a week ago. I'm getting this really weird taste in one of the sockets that comes like constantly. also whenever I run my tongue over it. it gives me awful breath...

i saw the surgeon yesterday and he said everything looks perfect.

thoughts?
 
Is it a sort of metal-like taste? It's probably blood. After extractions your sockets bleed out. Nothing to worry about, it'll clear up in a few days. Just be careful to take the home care instructions your dentist gave you seriously, if you don't you could develop dry socket. Dry socket is, for lack of better word, a bitch. Delays the healing process. I'm sure your dental surgeon can give you better advice on this then I can though

I haven't had my wisdom teeth out but I have had many many teeth pulled before :/ That used to happen to me. It would taste like metal. I kinda figured it's just because of the blood that clots right there and makes the scabs. Don't worry it'll go away :)
 
Sounds normal. It does make your breath stink for a little while, that weird taste is probably puss/blood from the healing process. Im sure your fine, esp if your doc says so. As long as theres not serious pain or massive blood, you'll be ok.
