Weird Sound

Hello,

I've noticed recently that my T3 produces some weird sound on a very high frequency. The sound comes from the screen and if I turn the palm around, the sound disappears. Therefore, the screen produces it.
Has anybody had such sound and if yes, what did you do to get rid of it?

Thank you
Mikhail

Greetings!

That is common on the T2 and T3. The only fix is to exchange it but the new unit may start out quiet and begin to buzz later.

Sorry for the bad news.

My Palm T|3 does the same, and has since Day 1. I've learned to live with it, especially since I couldn't return it (I bought it from a fellow member on our forums. Good place, our forums. Bad business person, this member.)

I know it's a pain, but if you can live with it you'll be rewarded with a top-notch PDA. I think it has something to do with the hi-res+ size of the screen, but I cannot independently confirm that, nor do I have access to the Sony's with the same screen size for comparison.

On the other hand, I seem to be losing digitizer ness with the lower centimeter of my extended screen...

Some people are sensitive to high frequency noises prodused by some electronics. You are hearing a sound that many manufacturers deem as unnoticable becuase most humans cannot hear that high up. However for us "fortunate few" the noise can drive you insane. For example it took my 2 years to be able to ignore the whine of a TV. Or the gental shreik of the alarm clock. Or the annoying drone of a florecent light.

Good luck.

I've had my T3 since its release, and I don't notice any high-pitched/frequency sound coming from the screen. Maybe my ears aren't sensitive enough. Anyway, hope you resolve the matter.
