my hubby and I have been married for 4 years, and have a good sex life, we have one little boy and another baby on the way in a few months...anyways I have a sex question! After we have sex I always go pee right away, because I have heard of getting bladder and yeast infections and stuff if you don't...anyways, the next day after having sex I usually have a lot of discharge and most of the time a weird smell in my pee...it happens about 75% of the time we have sex, and I have always wondered what caused this...I have never had a UTI, or yeast infection, so I know it's not that, and it usually dissapears after about 24 hrs, but it drives me crazy...it's not a pleasant smell, I have been wondering if my hubby and I have a bad reaction to eachother or something...has anyone else experianced this, and what did you do to stop it?? We can't stop having sex! Help!

It is probably the secretions of sperm and that has an oder to it. It smell's like bleach , I recommend you take a shower right away after sex and buy some oval vaginal suppositories called encare , it will cleanse you out and get rid of that smell.

To a degree, sex is supposed to smell. It smells because of two things:

1) The vagina contains some bacteria that release a pungent smell.

2) The semen contains basic amines which are neutralized by your acidic vaginal fluids. The result is a release of ammonia gas and other amminated compounds which can smell terrible.

I know it sounds pretty gross but sex isn't supposed to be clean. The "dirtiness" of it is pretty much forgotten when you are truly use to/into it.

first of all peeing right after sex does not prevent what you listed above-most women pee right after sex because of pressure on bladder during activity.Sounds like you might want to get physical talk to you doctor about problem could be an infection or simply something you consume

I dont think it's a big deal. But if your that worried, you should ask your doctor!
