This hasn't happened to me in a few years but it terrified the heck out of me and I hope I never EVER have to experience it again. Let me explain...
I used to be able to wake myself up from sleep when ever I wanted. I would just force my eyes open and be awake. I used to do it a lot until I started experiencing something weird, and now I avoid it completely.
I would force my eyes open like usual but instead of waking up, I would be completely conscience but unable to actually wake fully. I would see pure white and there was a loud buzzing that I would hear and I felt like I was shaking like I was having a seizure. I slept beside my moms at times like during car rides or when my dad snores too much and she can't take sleeping next to him, and I usually asked her if I was shaking or if anything weird would happen to me. She always said she didn't notice anything.
Is this just a bad dream or was something weird happening to me? I used to ALWAYS know I was dreaming and be able to change my dream at times and wake myself up, but now I'm terrified and even if I know I'm dreaming, I let myself be taken by the dream instead of trying to fight it.
