If you've read my profile, you know my real name is Marissa, but I prefer to be called Elliot. The trouble with that is, is that I started asking people to call me Elliot in the middle of the school year, so some people are used to calling me Marissa, but some call me Elliot. It gets really annoying when I have to explain to people to call me Elliot.
My question is: When I start school, should I ask people to call me Elliot (even if it may confuse them) or stick with Marissa? I really want to go by Elliot, but it will just confuse the heck out of people.
